Thanks to Andrew Logie for telling me about windbird.pe.kr. The link takes you to a page in Korean with lots of songs to click on. Andrew comments as follows:
It’s a folk music site, Korean kayo mostly from 1970’s. It’s all in Korean unfortunately. On this page, if you scroll down then the singer of the second photo down is called Kim Min-ki (김민기) and the first of his songs on the list is quite nice. If you click on the right hand column where there’s the speaker symbol it should play.
The fourth photo down is a singer called Kim Se-hwan (김세환) and I quite like the third song down in the list of his.
Further down, the eighth pic down is Kim Chong-ho (ê¹€ì •í˜¸). I particularly like the 12th and 15th song down of his.
If anyone who understands Korean finds other good stuff buried in this site, please let me know.
Andrew also told me about Childmonk.com, but I can’t get it to work. It plays a nice tune for a while, then crashes my browser.
Again if anyone knows how to get it to work, or of any other accessible sites on non-mainstream Korean music, please let me know.
