SOKI2U: Broken PartsI got an interesting email from a visitor today.

We are an international ensemble of experimental musicians, SOKI2U. See our website (linked below) to hear some of our music. We are urgently seeking a Korean female vocalist, and the ability to play an instrument and compose your own songs would be a huge advantage. We own our own  little recording studio in London, and work only on Sunday afternoons. All our material is original. Our first album, released Oct 2006, won an award and had three No 1 singles. Please contact Derek through the band website or MySpace page.

Derek adds that he came across a Korean busker at Angel tube a couple of years ago who called herself “Burn”:

She played guitar and sang like a star – a formidable musician.

I’ve paid SOKI2U’s MySpace page a visit, and their music is well worth exploring. So if Burn is still in London, or if there are any other budding Korean female vocalists out there, get in touch with Derek. Who knows? It could be your ticket to fame.
