Yes, I do live in Manchester. You will know already that there is a small but thriving korean community. My son at 7 was made guardian of the new korean boy in his cs class at school and as all 7 year olds enjoyed teaching him all the bad words. When he returned to Korea with his family when they were 11 he left a list of all the essential bad korean words my son would need to know.

Over the years we became friends with the family and a number of other links developed with visiting international students. I have really lost touch now the kids are all at secondary school and I don't see parents in the playground. By pure accident my sons class at secondary school had all the school's korean children in it (3). They were suprised to hear an English boy count and parrot back other basic korean words.

I'd definitely be interested in going along to an event if one got going.

I don't know whether you will see this - its so long after your original post.

You have missed of Yee Chan(?) Foods, Mauldeth Road, Ladybarn provider of
Korean Food items and a basic caff style restaurant which has been quite
highly rated. Now all our Korean friends have departed for Korea this is
going to be our source of Kimchi until we get to Jukjeon in August.
