Duellist + Lee Myung-se Q&A

The KCC’s Lee Myung-se month comes to an end on Thursday 26 January with a Q&A with the director himself after a screening of The Duellist. Note that to accommodate extra people, the screening is at the Apollo – and needs to be booked via the Apollo box office rather than the KCC reception. Note also the 6:30pm advertised screening time.

Expect lots of lovely visuals.

Special screening featuring a Q&A with director Lee Myung-se

The KCCUK Film Night has now been extended to four screenings per month, with the final screening of the month taking place at cinema venues across London and featuring special Q&A screenings with Korea’s leading Film Directors.

We kick off this extra special year with a look at the work of Director Lee Myung-se with three screenings at the KCCUK followed by the final screening of the month featuring a Q&A with the Director himself.

The Screening/ Q+A on January 26th with Director LEE will be hosted by Dr. Daniel Martin. (At Apollo Cinema Piccadilly Circus, Ticket: 10.00 GBP/ concessions 8.00 GBP. Ticket for the screening can be booked via the Apollo website).

Synopsis:

A predestined battle between the best woman detective in Chosun, Nam-sun, and a mysterious assassin ‘Sad Eye’ is unfolded. A magnificent, chivalric film that showcases Lee’s style.
