Two months after installation, Shin Meekyoung’s soapy Duke of Cumberland is still looking good, with not much evidence of erosion yet (this picture was taken on 22 September 2012). I wonder how it will survive a rainy autumn.

I had a look at it a few weeks ago, couldn’t believe it was made of soap. Literally didn’t believe it as there was no explanation of any kind, very puzzling… It’s presumably based on an original sculpture…???
Good point. It would be handy to have a little notice by the statue telling the passer-by what’s going on.
