The headline event this month is the London Korean Festival at Olympia, featuring four K-pop groups and some more traditional fare too. And there’s plenty else happening throughout the month, of which for me the highlights are Han Yujoo talking about her Impossible Fairy Tale, and a new performance art work from Park Bong-su.

Film

  • The third season of free screenings at the KCC commences with Shin Sang-ok’s It’s not her sin (20 July) followed by an evening of shorts, Women Now (27 July)
  • Bong Joon-ho’s Okja is at various Curzon cinemas for the first few days of the month and on Netflix
  • The 5th LKFF teaser, Lee Soo-yeon’s Bluebeard screens at Regent Street Cinema on 10 July
