Soong CHOO (violin + artistic director)

Violinist Soong CHOO graduated from the Purcell School with a full scholarship and was awarded first Fredrike Grinke Prize. After entering Royal Academy of Music at the age of 16, his career was awarded by various prizes including Beare Gold Bow. His piano trio received Craxton. Together with his personal history to have a home recital, major concerts with Pianist Imogen Cooper and Celist Lynn Harrel, he did a circulating concert as a member of Meacenas Ensemble in England. At present, he plays as the first violoinist in the world-class Philharmonia Orchestra as well as a director of Ensemble of Music.

Dimitri MURRATH (viola)

Born in Belgium in 1982, the viola player Dimitri Murrath is a former pupil at the Yehudi Menuhin School. He currently studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno. Dimitri’s repertoire extends from solo to chamber music, from Bach to contemporary music.
He is a laureate of the Tenuto Competition and the Belgian Foundation supports his studies. Recent performances have included the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Palais des Beaux-Arts Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room and appearances with the London Mozart Players and the Flemish Radio Orchestra. With his String Quartet, he recently performed in Carnegie Hall as part of a workshop given by the Emerson String Quartet.

Hye Won KIM (violin)

Hye-Won KIM completed her violin studies in Sun-Hwa Arts Music School in Seoul followed by Undergraduate and Masters degrees at School of Music in Auckland University. Further studies were done in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with professor David Takeno. At present, Hye-Won is a member of the Southbank Sinfonia in London and the 2nd violin player in the Royal Liverpool Philharminic Orchestra.She has been touring with condutors such as Bernard Haitink, Valary Gergiev,Christoph Echenbach, Edo de Warrt, Bejamin Zander, Sir Colin Davis, Vernon Handly, Mark Elder and Paolo Olmi.

So Jung LEE (cello)

In 1996, Sojung made many solo appearances in Seoul, including a performance of Haydn’s cello concerto in C major with the Madri Chamber Orchestra. Her participation includes orchestral concerts with many leading conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Leonard Slatkin, Colin Davis, Vernon Handly and many others. Her play extends to Janacek’s opera, The Cunning Little Vixen, under Sir Charles Mackerras, Winner of the Harold Craxton Competition and a participant for the production of Korean new age Pianist Ruma LEE’s second album and Damien Hirst’s film music at Abbey Road studio.

Sul Ki YU (violin)

Sul Ki YU studied at the Lausanne Conservatoiry of Music, Switzerland with Anne-Marie Jaquerod and continued her studies with Prof. T. Pyung as she attended the Yewon arts school in Seoul. Sul Ki has been a student of Prof. David Takeno, and entered the Guildhall School of Music in London in 2003. Sul Ki played concerts at several places including the Unesco center in Paris, the Buckingham Palace, the St. John’s, Smith Square Hall in London, the BeethovenHaus in Bonn, and played Tchaikovsky Violin concerto with Sidcup symphony orchestra. She recently had a successful concert in Carnegie Hall with her quartet, and received a prestigious award from Martin Musical fund.

Min Yong PARK

Born in 1981, she attended St. Georges Middle & High School in Switzerland while studying music at Lausanne Conservatory and Tibor Varga Academy of Music. She graduated from Oberlin Conservatory at Ohio, USA. At present, she is reading a master course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, studying under Krzysztof Smietana. She gave several recitals in Switzerland and at Oberlin, USA, and she played as a soloist with Janacek Orchestra and Pecs Symphony Orchestra.
