Covering things Korean in London and beyond since 2006

Spectrum: 2007 Korean Contemporary Arts show

Seunghee Kang - It's wonderland for stranger (detail)Last year saw the first of what might be turning into an annual event: a showing of young Korean artists working in London, at the Jerwood Space in Southwark, behind Tate Modern.

LKL found out about last year’s show, Still Dynamics, very much at the last minute, but we still provided some coverage here. This year, we’re slightly more forewarned, but only second hand.

The show, organised as last year by Eunyoung Kim, runs from 14th – 17th December (possibly the 18th, if you believe the organiser’s website, though last year there was considerable confusion as to the closing date).

Artists this year include Yujin Kang, Kira Kim and Seunghee Kang (a detail from one of Kang’s embroideries is shown above), as last year, plus Hyunim Park, Jandi Kim, Jin Kim, Junghee Roh, Jungmi Bae, and Luka Sangjun Kim.

The Jerwood Space is at 171 Union Street, London SE1 0LN [map]. More details of the artists and their work here.
