Cooking Galbigui with Kie-jo

TeokbokgiKie-jo Sarsfield restarts her Korean cookery classes for two lessons in February. The lessons in the autumn of 2008 were fully subscribed, so get in with your applications soon.

The plans are as follows:

1, 21st Feb, 11am — 2pm.
Tteokbokggi (떡볶이: Rice cake and Beef with spicy sauce – right)
Galbigui (갈비구이: Grilled Short Rib – below) and Bulgogi.
Seaweed and Cucumber salad.

Galbigui2, 28th Feb, 11AM — 2PM.
Grilled Salmon with homemade Shiso Pesto
Braised Pork with bean and chilli paste sauce.
Clear beef and Mooli soup.

The lessons are up in the leafy Chalfonts, towards the end of the Metropolitan line. They’re a very pleasurable way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday morning – Louise and I were the very lucky volunteer students in Kie-jo’s first class last year.
