The Korean Cultural Centre is doing a repeat performance of last year’s “Entry Forms” show, in which Korean artists based in the UK are invited to submit work for an independently curated exhibition. Entries are due by the end of August.
Call For Artists And Designers
The Korean Cultural Centre UK and British Council are looking for artists and designers of Korean origin working in the UK or holding significant links with Korea.
The selected artists’ work will be exhibited at the Korean Cultural Centre in December 2009.
The aim of the exhibition is to showcase current British-based Korean talent in the visual arts and will be selected by a panel of judges organised by the Korean Cultural Centre.
The Korean Cultural Centre will be responsible for insuring the works during exhibition and transit, organizing pick-up and redelivery of the work within the UK, installation and dismantling. A small catalogue will be produced on occasion of the exhibition. All Participants will receive complimentary invitations to the opening reception as well as copies of the catalogue.

Application guidelines:
This scheme is open to all practising artists and designers collectives working in the field of visual arts and design, as well as students of undergraduate level or above. You must have demonstrable experience of having studied or practised in the UK in order to be eligible. You must have demonstrable links to Korea.
Applications are to be made by sending the enclosed application form, supporting visual material and documents, and a list of visuals. Applications are to be made by each individual, and only one is required per collective.
Please submit documentation for up to 5 works per artist (any medium acceptable) in one or more of the following formats:
35mm slide, transparencies, CD, DVD (Region 2 format for PC), VHS (Pal format)
The committee is only able to watch the first 5 minutes of any footage, please therefore feel free to edit your material. CDs should be PC formatted and works saved as JPEG images; each image should be at least 72 dpi and less than 1MB. Please do not send original or unique works.
Please make sure that all material is properly labeled with titles, dates and name of artists or designers, failure to do this may mean it is not considered. You may include up to 3 publications and 5 press reviews/articles per participants in your application. Please do not forget to include a list of visuals. Make sure that any additional information or links to web-based material is included on your application form.
Slides and other documentation are sent entirely at the applicant’s risk and will be returned once the application has been considered if you include a SAE. Where acknowledgement of the application’s receipt is required, a self-addressed postcard should be included.
The finalists will be notifie in October.
