A Chuseok dinner with the Anglo Korean Society

I can’t believe that Chuseok is almost upon us already.

As last year, the Anglo-Korean Society is holding a Chuseok dinner for members and their guests. Details as follows:

Chuseok with the AKS

Young Bean Restaurant
2-3 Bassishaw Highwalk, London, EC2V 5DS [Map]

Our event coincides with the celebrations of the Korean national holidays surrounding Chuseok a traditional harvest Moon festival on the 15th day of the Eighth Moon according to the lunar calendar. Usually described as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.

This is a family occasion when Koreans visit their hometowns, enjoy a traditional Korean meal and pay respect to their ancestors.

Korean buffet with wine.

Members: £20; Guests £25.

Don’t forget also that the AKS has started monthly informal meet-ups at a Korean restaurant in central London. The first one is 2 September at a location close to Tottenham Court Road tube station. Join the AKS to find out where and when.
