Alas, it comes too late to give me any useful input into the Korean Literature Translation Institute’s essay competition, but this is a worthwhile initiative:

Choe Yun

As a part of this summer’s Korean Literature Essay Contest held by the Korean Cultural Centre UK and LTI Korea, we are proud to announce that Ch’oe Yun author of the subject text (There a Petal Silently Falls) will be attending the forthcoming Korean Literature Workshop.

Copies of the English translation of the text are available free from the Korean Cultural Centre

The workshop will be held at The Korean Cultural Centre on Tuesday 27th October at 6.30pm.

The aims and objectives of the session are to enable participants to appreciate the work of Ch’oe Yun through a process of creative reflection, but most importantly, enjoy themselves while doing this!

Advance Preparation:

All participants need to be familiar with at least one of the three short stories in “There a Petal Silently Falls”

The outcomes from the workshop will be published on both the KLTI and KCC websites.
