Remember that nice bookshop featured in the Hugh Grant rom com Notting Hill? Well it’s a real place, and it’s called The Travel Bookshop. You don’t have to guess too hard as to what sort of books it specialises in.
Jennifer Barclay, LKL contributor and author of Meeting Mister Kim, will be talking about her travels in Korea back in 2000 which gave rise to her book. She’s been to Korea more recently courtesy of her relationship with the Korea Tourism Office – for whom she tweets, blogs and maintains a Facebook site under the name CoolStuffKorea.
Jennifer’s a great public speaker. I didn’t get the chance to hear her recent talk at the Royal Geographical Society, but she interviewed well with Sandy Toksvig on Radio Four’s Excess Baggage a couple of years ago.
The talk at The Travel Bookshop promises to be relaxed, informative and fun.
7pm, Tuesday April 13th, at The Travel Bookshop, 13-15 Blenheim Crescent, Notting Hill, London W11 2EE
