Jo Seong-hee at Canary Wharf

Regular visitors to this site may be familiar with the work of photographer Jo Seong-hee. As well as photo essay of Korean traditional dancer Yi Chuljin composed for this site, she has exhibited in various places including a group photography show at the Photo-Space Gallery in Commercial Road: Uncertain States.

In Uncertain States, Jo exhibited night-time photos of City and Canary Wharf cityscapes, imaginary panoramas composed of three images tightly juxtaposed in one frame.

Three of these nightscapes are now on display at a place tailor-made for them: in a space in Canary Wharf where office workers can see them every day. They are on display until 2 July, at shopping mall level. Go to the mall-level entrance to Waitrose, turn right, go past Robert Dyas, through the double doors, and it’s in that broad corridor on the left hand wall.

Go take a look.
