Empowering the Taekwondo Generation: TKD demos in London and southern England

As last year, the Taekwondo demonstration team showcasing their talents at the Thames Festival will be staying to do a mini tour of the south of England. The first demo before they leave London after the festival is at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre, 1 Philip Lane, Tottenham, London, N15 4JA at 7pm on Monday 13th September. Free admission, but registration with [email protected] is required. For other tour dates (below) I think you’ll just have to enquire locally, but again the events should be free.

Seoul City Taekwondo Association Demonstration Team:
Free Demonstration and Tutorials

The Korean Cultural Centre UK in association with the Seoul City Taekwondo Association Demonstration Team brings you a selection of free Taekwondo Demonstrations and Tutorials this September.

Beginning with two days of performances and workshops at the prestigious ‘Mayor’s Thames Festival’ on the 11 & 12 September, the team can then be seen again in London before they embark on a tour of the South of England.

The Seoul City Taekwondo Demonstration Team will be visiting Tottenham, Ashford, Brighton, Weymouth, Bromley, Southampton and Oxford where they will display their amazing skills, strength and power to children and adults of all ages. Admission is free (Booking needed).

With the London 2012 Olympics rapidly approaching and with interest in taekwondo continuing to grow in the UK, ‘Empowering the Taekwondo Generation’ hopes to reward those who are already taken by this traditional Korean martial art and to inspire a new generation to take up this wonderful sport.

These free demonstrations and tutorials are an excellent way to introduce oneself to the joys of taekwondo, where neither age nor size can prevent someone from learning and taking part.
