Korea at the Crossroads: Art, Archaeology and History

I just received information about this Korean art seminar on 13 November. So, we get two weeks’ notice for a morning of Korean art which clashes directly with a full day of Asian art at Asia House which has been heavily trailed for months. Shame there wasn’t more coordination. The Tiger in Asian Art at Asia House, or this at the British Museum? Your choice, but you can’t do both.

KOREA AT THE CROSSROADS:
Art, Archaeology and History

Stevenson Lecture Theatre, British Museum
Saturday 13 November 2010, 9.30-12.00
Free, booking advised

This study day is for anyone interested in Korea. World experts will deliver papers investigating the contacts of the inhabitants of the Korean peninsula with the world around them. From the perspectives of art, archaeology and history the talks will cover periods from antiquity to the present. The study day celebrates the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Korea Foundation Gallery at the British Museum.

Supported by the Anglo-Korean Society.
