Here are the events for May, so far. Let me know what I’ve missed out.

Event of the month

  • Hwang Jihae, last year’s Chelsea gold medal winner in the artisan garden category, returns to the Chelsea Flower Show with her Show Garden – “Quiet Time: DMZ Forbidden Garden“, 22 – 26 May

Theatre

  • The Yohangza Theatre Company has one more performance of Midusmmer Night’s Dream at the Globe, 1 May. Their performance on 30 April went down extremely well, so make sure you go along if you haven’t already.

Exhibitions

Music

  • Violinist Joo Yeon Sir has a big month, with a lunchtime recital at St James’s Piccadilly (4 May), an evening recital on 16 May including one of her own compositions, and a recital at the National Gallery on 18 May.
  • Hugh Keice plays the Clapham Grand on 11 May to mark the launch of his new EP, with gigs in Liverpool later in the month

Films

  • KCC’s director of the month is Jeon Kye-Soo. Screenings are on 10, 17, 24 and 31 May. (In order: Midnight Ballad for Ghost Theatre | A Perfect Day & If You Were Me 4 | Lost and Found | Love Fiction – with director Q&A)
