Art13 London, held at the beginning of March this year, was a feast of contemporary art which needed at least half a day to enjoy the Korean artists alone, forgetting about everything else. Looking forward to next year, Art14 has announced the participating galleries for the second incarnation of London’s latest art fair. Here are the Korea-based galleries, or those who are certain or likely to have some Korean artists on show.

The main section of the exhibition will include the return of Seoul’s Arario, Hakgojae and Leehwaik galleries and, for the first time this year, Gallery KONG. Missing in 2014 will be Cais Gallery and Gana Art. London-based Shine Artists, who operate alongside the Albemarle Gallery, will also be there; both have a strong roster of Korean artists. It will also be worth looking in at October Gallery and Purdy Hicks who represent one or two Korean artists each.

The Emerge section, which focuses on younger galleries, will again include Em and SoSo from Korea and London’s HADA Contemporary, and this year they will be joined by Hanmi Gallery.

In the London First section is Choi & Lager, who exhibited a strong collection of Korean artists for the House of the Nobleman last year.

But in London, you seem to come across Korean artists everywhere, and at Art13 LKL spotted several represented by mainstream galleries, both London-based and international.

Pencil in at least half a day, 28 February – 2 March 2014 at Olympia Grand Hall.
