Continuing its aim to present the broadest aspects of Korean culture in the UK, the KCC is offering another season of gayageum and minhwa classes – for free. Apply by 15 Feb.

The Korean Cultural Centre UK is now taking applications for our free 10 week painting course, Minhwa: Folk Painting Class and our 12 week course, Gayageum: Korean Music Class.

With these courses taking place weekly between February and May 2014 students will have a great experience to participate in these exciting cultural activities.

This Gayageum Course will present a delightful journey into the traditional music of Korea where students will learn typical musical scales and various playing techniques. Our free painting course, ‘Minhwa’ refers to the Korean folk painting of mythical and magical figures and other objects in a plain, straightforward and naive style often representing health, happiness and scenes from everyday life.
