For the cultural cooperation between DPR of Korea and UK, Mansudae Art Studio sent 4 oil painters to London to create fine art and host this exhibition.
If you come to the exhibition, you may have a rare opportunity to meet these Korean oil painters from Pyongyang, enjoy paintings from Korea and even some paintings about London which were produced by them during their stay in London.
Mansudae Art Studio
Mansudae Art Studio, founded in 1959, is a comprehensive studio of arts in DPRK that has several creation units specialized in sculpture, Korean paintings, oil and other paintings, mural paintings. More than 700 artists and 4,000 employees are working here; it is well known as fine art representing unit both in DPRK and abroad.
Until now Mansudae organised and participated at numerous International exhibitions and shows. In 2007, there was Mansudae fine art exhibition in London.
Jon Pyong Jin
In 1991, graduated from Pyongyang University of Fine Arts; since then creating fine arts at Mansudae. Also works as Senior Officer in the department of Creation of Mansudae.
Participated several national and international exhibitions in China and highly praised.
In 1989, Graduated from Pyongyang University of Fine Arts to do creation at Mansudae.
With detailed depiction method, he participated several international exhibitions to get highly praised and get awards.
Ho Jae Song
In 1993, graduated from Pyongyang University of Fine Arts, does creation at Mansudae since then.
Also participated several international exhibitions and highly praised.
Hong Song Il
In 1991, graduated from Pyongyang University of Fine Arts and creating fine arts since then at Mansudae.
Participated several national and international exhibitions.
