Unsuk Chin’s Clarinet Conerto will be getting its UK premiere on 22 October as part of the Philharmonia’s Music of Today series. It is scored for orchestra with a huge percussion session: the publisher’s website lists such instruments as a bell-tree, washboard, wine glass in B-flat, 2 fishing reels and a vibraslap. Kent Nagano, who conducted its world premiere in Göteburg last year, introduces the work in the following video:
