Film
- Lee Jun-ik’s The Throne (a treatment of the life and death of Crown Prince Sado) screens at the Regent Street Cinema on 18 April (with Director Q+A) as part of a teaser for this year’s London Korean Film Festival.
- The KCC film screenings this month are Sunny (Kang Hyoung-chul, 2011) (14 April) and the wonderful Barking Dogs Never Bite (Bong Joon-ho, 2000) (28 April). The screening on 14 April will be introduced by Dr Jinhee Choi as part of the Korean Film Night Amplified series.
- There will be a free screening of the Sewol documentary Cruel State (나쁜나라) at the Raindance Film Centre on 16 April.
- The Deptford Cinema hosts two Jeju-related films on 30 April: Gureombi: The Wind is Blowing + Jeju’s Aching Heart.
Exhibitions
- Michael Joo’s solo show, Radiohalo, continues at Blain|Southern until 9 April.
- Kye Sook Park’s exhibition at Riverhouse Arts Centre in Walton-on-Thames continues until 17 April.
- Hoyeon Kang’s exhibition, How to Shout Yahoo, opens at the KCC on 19 April.

- Sulki Yu and Jason Bae perform in the second Korean Sounds concert at King’s Place on 6 April.
- Park Jong-gyung performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto #24 at St Martin in the Fields on 12 April.
- The Menuhin Competition which starts on 7 April features a ton of young Korean violinists.
- Hockers performs at the Barfly in Camden on 12 April
- The Rock Bottom Crew perform at the Underworld, Camden, on 14 April.

- An ARTTALK at the KCC on 4 April is a Filmic Dialogue with Yunjoo Kwak and Igor Sevcuk.
- SOAS early evening seminars this month are on 22 April (Youn Gyeong Kim: A study of Korean folk-Taoism and Nationalism in Japanese Colonial Period) and 29 April (Kevin Cawley The Phantom Menace: Hwang Sayŏng’s ‘Silk Letter’ – 帛書)
