Lush Film Fund invites you to spend the evening at Lush Studio Soho, in the company of director Roxy Rezvany at the screening of her latest film, Little Pyongyang, part-funded by the Lush Film Fund and Guardian Documentaries.

“A tale of one North Korean’s struggle to leave behind the homeland, this stylised documentary with exclusive access unveils the depths of loss, longing and legacy amongst a community of North Korean defectors who have escaped their homeland to live in the leafy London suburb of New Malden.”

The evening will also play host to an exhibition of photographs documenting the North Korean community in the UK (photographer: Chris Bethell, photographer on Little Pyongyang) a specially curated video playlist of North Korean pop music (curator: Matt Huxley, composer on Little Pyongyang) and a post-screening panel discussion w/Q&A about North Korean refugees and their experiences.

Members of the panel will include; Roxy Rezvany – director of Little Pyongyang, Jihyun Park – North Korean refugee and activist and Michael Glendinning – Founder of Connect North Korea.

Funds from ticket prices will be going to Connect North Korea.
