K-Pop UK National Competition 2018

This looks fun: separate from the UK round of the K-pop World Festival that was held earlier this summer, the Kingston-based organisation Korea British Cultural Exchange (KBCE) is organising a UK-specific national competition for K-pop dance and vocal covers. The finals will be held in Kingston at the end of October.

For the first time, KBCE will be hosting the KBCE K-Pop UK National Competition 2018 in Kingston as a part of Kingston Korean Festival. With experienced K-Pop judges and exciting prizes, it is your turn to shine!

Prizes

Overall Winner; Trophy, Certificate and £500
Winner of each Categories, K-Pop Dance & K-Pop Vocal: Certificate and £250 each team
Deadline for application: by 9th September 2018
The competition finalists will be announced on the 22nd September 2018.

How to enter

  • Gather your dance crew or sing your heart out, K pop style and if you can why not do all the above!
  • Choose a K Pop Song to cover (Must be the original song, with no mixes or edits accepted)
  • Film it! Upload it! And don’t forget to add your intro of who you are on the video (Refrain from altering your routine with edits e.g. numerous cuts)
  • Please note that applicants may only apply once for the K POP Festival in the UK
  • Send your application form and a video link back to info@kbce.org.uk by 9th September 2018
  • Please ensure that the video setting is set to either ‘public’ or ‘unlisted’
  • We will also not be accepting video attachments. Please upload your video and send us the link via YouTube or Vimeo (as a shared viewable link)
