What to expect

Across 3 Saturdays in July there will be a series of art history talks and tours presented by the British Museum in partnership with the Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK). This course aims to provide an overview of historical and contemporary Korean art through gallery visits and behind-the-scenes tours.

Led by the British Museum’s Korean Collections Curator, the first two days of course will explore Korean art history from the Three Kingdoms Period to the present day with reference to objects from the Museum’s Korean collection.

The programme continues with a conservator-led behind-the-scenes tour of the conservation studio. This will offer an opportunity to learn more about how the conservator examines, conserves and prepares collections for display.
