HE Ambassador Yoon Yeocheol will be hosting a special concert celebrating 140 years of Korea-UK Relations, in a spectacular venue: the Great Hall of Hampton Court Palace followed by a reception in the Cartoon Gallery:
Welcome to our concert celebrating 140 years of Korea-UK relations! I look forward to sharing an evening of enchanting music with you, performed by exceptionally talented musicians in one of the most beautiful and historic palaces in the UK.
One of the many joys of my role as Ambassador is representing the active Korean community in the UK, which constitutes the largest in Europe. I am always glad to see their accomplishments and the contributions they make to life in the UK and tonight is no exception. As we celebrate 140 years of diplomatic relations, the cultural sector is yet another area in which the friendship between our two nations is going from strength to strength. Tonight is a vivid example of the beauty and harmony which comes about when Korea and the UK collaborate, as we have now been doing for 140 years.
My special thanks to the Philharmonia Orchestra, Haegee Lee, Harry Rylance, the London Korean Hummingbirds Choir and to all of you for attending. I wish you all a wonderful evening.
