About Emily Yeyoung

Emily Yeyoung is a talented classical musician and supporter of Connect: North Korea. She began learning classical guitar at a young age in North Korea before escaping in her late teens. Since then, she’s been teaching in the UK and recently completed her Master’s degree in Music performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Emily Yeyoung also works with Connect: North Korea as a music teacher, delivering music sessions to children. These classes help North Korean students learn new skills whilst also supporting their mental health in a safe environment.
