Ever wanted to make your very own kimchi? Well look no further, as kimchi masters The Korean Pantry are coming to The Hoxton, Shoreditch to teach you how to do just that!
Join us on Sunday 24th November (following National Kimchi Day on the 22nd) where founder Cindy will guide you through a hands-on class. Throughout the class, you will be taught about the stages of kimchi making, from prepping and salting the veg to making your own fragrant kimchi paste and finally learning how to ferment and store your kimchi.
Whether you’re a pro chef or kimchi newbie, you’ll be an expert when you’re done. Time to slice, salt and paste – and of course, you’ll get a jar full of delicious kimchi you made to take home.
Following the workshop, all attendees will sit down for a sharing style dinner by OH GEE, a pop-up featuring award-winning Korean Fried Chicken from 101 Chicken at The Hoxton Shoreditch. 101 Chicken is a US restaurant created in collaboration with South Korean chef Byung Tae Ahn, who was crowned Grand Champion of Netflix’s hit show K-Chicken War. Think prawn toast, spicy noodles, that famous potato crisp fried chicken and, of course, The Korean Pantry kimchi loaded fries.
