It’s what we call an “omnibus novel” in Korea, where a set of short stories are loosely connected to each other to form a larger narrative.
As to what it’s about . . . if I may be a bit pretentious here again, the key words would basically be queers and Catholicism, women, abortion, STDs, and economic class. I guess it’s about the emptiness that anyone living in a big city these days feels in their everyday lives, written in a very detailed and funny string of love stories.
