As the 32nd volume of the K-Poet series, Kim Sai’s 『Poverty Must Be Maintained』 was published. This is her third collection of poems after “The Day I Quit Reflecting” and “I Say I’m Not Doing Anything.” As a poet who desperately portrayed the absurdity of the workplace and the reality of female workers suffering doubly in the midst of it in her previous collections, she also talks about the absurdity of life and society in this collection of poems. The landscape seems to be getting worse instead of improving. The poet does not ignore such pain, but shares the pain of this world and sings on the spot.
