Mokspace is delighted to showcase the artworks of Kye Sook Park.

Born and educated in South Korea, Kye Sook Park draws inspiration from traditional Korean painting techniques. Her work is emotive, and through a respect of materials and traditional painting styles, she is able to bring these to life in her series of paintings, that are inspired by a feeling, rather than subject.

Her divergent mark making is what makes her work exciting and refreshing. The composition of her paintings and drawings utilise contrasting techniques from pencil lines, to layers of Indian ink. She is able to capture layers of colour that give her paintings a depth, while offsetting these with her un-touched spaces with her paintings, which are equally as intriguing.
