One of the biggest Korean solo stars, Jay Park will kick-start his very first European tour at Hammersmith Apollo on 21st September. Jay Park is an American singer, dancer, rapper, b-boy, music producer, songwriter, model, choreographer, and actor of South Korean origin, and a member of the Seattle-based b-boy crew, Art of Movement (AOM). Park initially rose to fame as the leader of South Korean boy band; 2PM. But left the group in 2010 and went back to the States. A few months later Park uploaded a cover video of B.o.B’s hit “Nothin’ on You”, with his own rap and lyrics, which went viral and reached over 2,000,000 views in less than 24 hours, leading the start of his successful solo career.
Last year he proved his popularity once again in Korea by having his concert sold out within 10 minutes. Jay Park’s popularity goes worldwide and he showed it this year July 10th; when he released his digital album “I like to party”, which came in the Top 10 digital charts all over the world, including US, UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands and many more. Due to the fact that he was born and raised in America, he is more than just Kpop alone and is also loved and respected by many Urban and R&B listeners.
Park; famous by his charismatic performances and great stage presence, will be supported by Korean male group Victor, consisting of In, Choo, Jun, Gyum and Bie. A group that despite their relatively short existence, knows how to perfectly support and strengthen the magic of Jay Park, to bring the show to another level. So his fans can be assured that they will be treated to a spectacular show they will not forget.
