The Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) is looking for artists of Korean origin to present their work(s) for consideration as part of our Open Call for Artists 2015. The selected works will be exhibited at the KCCUK from April 2015 (April 20—May 9, 2015). This program is open to various forms of creative artistic expression and communication.

Artists are invited to submit works that take on the risks of innovation, inquiry and imagination, using original observations, contemporary technologies and procedures in the process of creating inventive forms, rethinking the present and revising the notion of the future.

The aim of the exhibition is to showcase Korean talent in the visual arts, exhibitors will be selected by a panel of judges organised by the KCCUK. The judges may select a single artist for a solo show or as part of a group show.

This will depend on the applications and internal discussion between the judges. And the result will be delivered by the KCCUK on an individual basis.

The KCCUK will be responsible for insuring the works during exhibition and transit, organizing pick-up and redelivery of the work within the UK, installation and dismantling. A small catalogue will be produced on the occasion of the exhibition. All artists will receive complimentary invitations to the opening reception as well as copies of the catalogue. If the judges select for a solo show, the KCCUK will support the budget up to 5,000 pounds and in case of the group show, the budget can be stretched up to 10,000 pounds. This will be negotiated further with the KCCUK once the selection process is completed.
