They’re not the first Korean act to appear at Britain’s best-known festival – acts such as Jambinai and Gonne Choi have appeared before – but they’re the first to perform on the main stage (the Pyramid).

In what was probably just a load of clickbait froth, publications such as the Daily Mail picked up on some tweets from disgruntled festival-goers who were disappointed that the unconfirmed rumours that Madonna was going to be performing turned out not to be true, and who claimed that the line-up was the “Worst Ever”. Whatever, the festival is sold out, and so if you want to experience Seventeen, live, in the English countryside, you’ll need to hunt for tickets on the secondary market or register for cancellations.

Anyway, the 13-strong K-pop phenomenon, known as the “K-Pop Performance Powerhouse” mixing EDM, synth pop, R&B and electronica, will be performing on the Friday afternoon.

Update: the schedule also reveals that Balming Tiger will be appearing on the West Holts Stage on Sunday 30 June at 2pm. “Shunning the slickness of their more mainstream K-pop rivals this tumultuous indie hip hop collective deliver an eclectic and irresistible live set.”
