“With Love, Korea” is an art exhibition created by artist and author Mikey Espinosa. It serves as a love letter dedicated to the people and experiences he encountered during his many travels to Korea. The exhibition is divided into two parts: traditional and fusion.
The traditional part showcases his fine art training through paintings of his favorite locations, while the fusion part reflects the growing relationship between South Korea and the United Kingdom. It is hoped that this exhibition will generate more interest and opportunities for Asian culture and artists to be showcased.
Korea, With Love is a love letter in the form of art, dedicated to the places that amazed me, the people I’ve met and the connections I’ve built in Korea. There are two parts to the exhibition; Traditional and Fusion. Traditional displays the diverse landscape of Korea through acrylic paint whilst Fusion showcases the things that interested me and interpreting it to the modern globalised world.
The aim of this exhibit is to show that though Korea is currently well known for it’s pop culture, there is a rich culture hidden to many. I hope this exhibit will encourage people to visit and experience Korea by sharing my own experiences through my art.
