Yong Min Cho in Pigments and Photons

Enjoy a Poetry and Dance Performance in the Georgian Eating Room to accompany Antoni Malinowski’s work in Pigments and Photons with Martin Crimp, Kristin Winters and Yong Min Cho

The Art of Painting event begins with a sardonic text by playwright Martin Crimp originally written for the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna where Vermeer’s The Art of Painting hangs. At Pitzhanger Manor it initiates a chain of responses to Malinowski’s own Demeter painting — which currently dominates the Manor’s Eating Room — leading to a dance performance by Yong Min Cho, who plunges the viewer into the primordial rhythms and myths which have inspired Malinowski’s work. Finally, a new text inspired by the colours and names of the pigments the artist uses brings us back sharply to the present.

The Performance will begin at 7pm, there will be no admission or readmission to the performance once it has begun. Spaces are limited and first come first served.
