The Lancashire Korea Festival is a day-long celebration of everything Korean that focuses upon sharing both traditional and modern aspects of K-culture. A selection of cultural programmes will fill the 53 degrees at the University of Central Lancashire. This festival celebrates the Jeollabuk-do province’s strong connection from traditional Korean music and dance to traditional Korean costumes, food and handicraft.
12:00~13:00 – Traditional Korean Music – Gayageum
13:00~14:00 – Traditional Korean Dance – Hwagwanmu (Floral coronet dance), Buchaechum (Fan Dance)
13:00~14:00 – Traditional Korean Costumes Show
14:00~15:00 – K-Pop Talent Show 1 – (K-Pop Dance and Singing)
15:00~16:00 – Traditional Korean Dance – Sanjo ‘Chungmyeongsimsu’
16:00~17:00 – K-Pop Talent Show 2 – (K-Pop Dance and Singing)
Korean Handicraft (Korean folk art, traditional Korean paper)
Korean Traditional Costumes, Hanbok
Tickets can be bought in advance through Eventbrite or bought at the entrance of 53 Degrees on the day in cash.
Free Parking is available around UCLan on weekends via the Victoria Car Park.
The Lancashire Korea Festival is hosted by the Jeollabuk-do province, International Institute of Korean Studies of the University of Central Lancashire and supported by the Korean Cultural Centre UK.
