Happy birthday, Ludwig van B! In the year that the CBSO turns 100, Ludwig van Beethoven turns 250, and Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla has picked out two of Beethoven’s fastest, funniest and most thrilling symphonies. As a special birthday bonus, choose between Britten’s exuberant burst of youthful sunlight, or SPIRA, a magical new showpiece for the full CBSO by one of the world’s most imaginative living composers.

Please note the pre-concert talk will now start at 6pm, 15 minutes earlier than previously advertised, due to the Making an Entrance redevelopments. You will be asked to show your ticket for access into the pre-concert talk, and then invited to take your seat for the concert immediately after the talk concludes. Times of talks will be listed on the concert pages of the CBSO and THSH’s websites in advance, please check before making travel plans.
