National Liberation Day poster
The 79th Anniversary of National Liberation Day (15 August 1945) will be celebrated on 17 August in New Malden’s Jubilee Square. You are invited to participate in honouring the noble spirits of the martyrs and patriots who devoted themselves to the independence of their country.

The programme of the celebrations will be as follows:

Part 1 (11:00 – 11:50)
  1. Opening Ceremony
  2. Pledge of Allegiance
    • Salute to the National Flag
    • National Anthem
    • A moment of silence for the patriotic martyrs of the country
  3. Introduction of Guests
  4. Commemoration speeches (Mayor of Kingston Liz Green, Shin Woo-seung, Jang Hee-kwan)
  5. Congratulatory remarks,
  6. National Liberation Day Song,
  7. Three Cheers of “Manse”
Part 2 (12:00 – 1:00 p.m.)
  1. Violin – Park Jung Eun: 1) Rhythmic Arirang, 2) Bessame Mucho 3) People Who Loved Cannon
  2. Flute – Camille Bosier: 1) Variation of Arirang 2) Theme from Berceuse
