Moon Hye-jung’s novel “The Cafe Where Tarot Cards Are Read” is a psychological novel that delicately captures the bare faces of love, wounds, and desire by looking into the hearts and emotions of others through the eyes of a tarot reader.
According to Changbi, “The Cafe Where Tarot Cards Are Read” (2025) by Moon Hye-jung, which won the grand prize in the novel category of Brunch Book, has been exported to 10 countries including the United States, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, recording a total advance of more than 350 million won. In Italy, more than 15,000 copies were sold shortly after publication. The book also drew attention as HQ in the United States and Harper Perennial in Britain, both under HarperCollins, one of the world’s largest publishing groups, signed rights deals side by side.
