Covering things Korean in London and beyond since 2006

If you cook Korean food, you could win $10,000!

The prizes in Korea’s global competitions are getting more and more generous – perhaps driven by the fact that the grand finals for some of them are shown on Korean TV. There’s a competition out there right now whose first prize is a Korean car. And for this cookery competition, the grand prize is a handy $10,000.

For both, you need to be adept at video technology. And of course, for this one, you need to be able to cook as well. The UK final will be at the Central Street Cookery School in the Barbican area on 20 July. Upload your cookery video and send in your application form by 11 July to be in with a chance.

The Embassy of Republic of Korea in London is delighted to announce its first ever K-Food World Festival this July as part of a cooking competition organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MBC, a national broadcaster of Korea and North Jeolla Province.

The winners from the qualifying rounds in 10 participating countries will go to Korea in an all-inclusive trip in order to participate in the Final, experience the Korean culture and enjoy original Korean food. The Winner of the Grand Final in Seoul will win US $10,000 (approximately £6,500)!

The Final in Seoul will be broadcasted in September by MBC, so if the little chef inside you wants to show the world what you can do, do not miss this opportunity.
