Soon Hak Kwon: Truth is in the Detail, at Union Gallery

I somehow can’t believe that this is Soon Hak Kwon’s first solo show in the UK – he has been such a fixture of the Korean art scene over the past few years that I kind of assume he must have had several. Anyway, it’ll be nice to be able to focus on his work alone at Union Gallery.

Union is pleased to present new works by Korean artist Soon Hak Kwon.

The artist’s first UK solo show will feature two new large-scale photographic works that take ‘Detail’ as the point of departure into a meditation on looking, representation and ideologies.

The exhibition will be open from the 5th of July until the 13th of September, with a private view evening on the 4th July from 6pm onwards.

Soon Hak Kwon was born in Korea in 1979. Having studied for his MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art, he now lives and works in London and exhibits internationally.
