The headline event this month is the London Korean Festival at Olympia, featuring four K-pop groups and some more traditional fare too. And there’s plenty else happening throughout the month, of which for me the highlights are Han Yujoo talking about her Impossible Fairy Tale, and a new performance art work from Park Bong-su.

- The third season of free screenings at the KCC commences with Shin Sang-ok’s It’s not her sin (20 July) followed by an evening of shorts, Women Now (27 July)
- Bong Joon-ho’s Okja is at various Curzon cinemas for the first few days of the month and on Netflix
- The 5th LKFF teaser, Lee Soo-yeon’s Bluebeard screens at Regent Street Cinema on 10 July

- Modern Table performs Men of Steel at Dancing City in Canary Wharf, 1 July
- The London Korean Festival at Olympia is on 8 July
- Yoon Chung (piano) plays at the Islington Proms on 15 July
- The SOAS Korean music summer school runs 17 – 21 July
- The KCC’s House Concert on 25 July features the Halcyon Quartet

- The KCC’s current exhibition, Rehearsals from the Korean Avant-Garde Performance Archive, continues all month.
- Related to the KCC exhibition, Hyun Joon Chang will perform A Conversation between Generations Deprived of Generations; A Conversation without a Counterpart on 27 and 29 July
- Through their eyes: depicting Korea and UK then and now opens at Kingston Museum on 7 July
- Made in Korea – Contemporary Korean Ceramics – is at Sladmore Contemporary, 12-28 July
