Actor, TV personality and travel writer Michael Palin will be presenting a two-part documentary from the week or so he spent in North Korea earlier this year. He happened to be in the country during the meeting between Moon Jae-in and Kim Jong Un.
The first episode screens on Thursday 20 September at 9pm on Channel 5 and gets an enthusiastic review from the Financial Times.
According to the Radio Times, Palin got to show a clip from his early Monty Python days to his North Korean minder. ‘”She just cracked up,” he said, adding that she had never heard of the show before and that North Korea might prove a “new market for us”.’
