London Hallyu Festival: celebrations in New Malden
While the first London Hallyu Festival, in 2023, focused on creating a platform for local Koreans to interact, the second edition seeks to serve as a bridgehead to promote the Korean Wave to the local people in London by discovering and supporting various Korean brands and culture and arts. Through festivals like this, New Malden will become an international Hallyu town and a centre for Korea-related industries.
This festival has three strands: in central London there will be an exhibition and artist talk at Hanmi Gallery, and a hallyu seminar and interactive experiences at UCL Main Campus. And in New Malden there will be special festivities featuring cultural activities, street food, music, taekwondo demonstrations and more.
