“St. Ives holds a special kind of charm that stirs a sense of excitement within me. Thinking back to the opening night of my last exhibition there, and imagining myself once again exhibiting in that place, the word romance comes to mind. It is this very sense of romance that draws me towards a more relaxed approach to my work, one that is driven less by tension and competition and more by a desire to flow gently with the process.
In many ways, these works were born from the countless ‘betweens’ of life. I hope that one of these points, somewhere in this space between, will truly express my own Between Calmness and Passion”.
