The full programme of the 2025 London Film Festival will be unveiled on 3 September, but today the ten films selected to screen in the festival’s Official Competition were announced. Included in the list is Yoon Ga-eun’s The World of Love. Yoon has charmed us with her previous movies, which focus on the lives and friendships of young girls – Sprout (2013), The World of Us (2016) and The House of Us (2019). In The World of Love “a high school student navigates love, friendship and a traumatic past in this delicately woven and quietly powerful drama.”
The film gets its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 7 September, where it is one of the ten movies competing for the Platform Award.
