This lunchtime live performance by 99 Art Company is performed by two dancers whose practice bridges traditional and contemporary Korean dance. Connecting Korean tradition and contemporary movement, they channel unseen presences through the body, drawing on their own lived experiences. Through movement, they connect distant pasts with the present, conveying subtle vibrations and tremors felt within the body.
Moving from the Great Court towards The Korea Foundation Gallery (Room 67), the performance creates a physical and sensory link between space, objects and dancers. It offers a quiet, immersive experience that invites reflection on how culture, time and presence can be embodied.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, Korean Cultural Centre UK and Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.
Founded in 2014, 99 Art Company (@99artcompany) is a contemporary dance company led by choreographer Hye-rim Jang. The performers for this event are Seo-yi Jang and Hye-rim Jang.
