Momentum at Rest: Yong Man Kwon Solo Exhibition

Mokspace is delighted to exhibit the works of Yong Man Kwon, a Korean born artist based in France. Kwon’s body of work captures a spectrum of subjects, that are truly brought to life from his vibrant and unique painting style. As an award winning and official painter for the French Navy and Military he is able to capture any subject matter to great effect. His style is very much unique and easily identified, and through broad strokes and an expansive colour palette he brings life to everyday subjects, and creates artwork that identifies the beauty in all details of life.
In his works, nothing is trivial, nothing is left to chance, everything is essential. It seeks to convey the nature and interprets without copying, but by releasing what he sees the essential element that the most key. Thus, all these landscapes he hunts with the hunter’s instinct is sublimated and transferred onto canvas with the desire to bring the viewer into a personal and original universe.
