JIWONXKIM: Salamandrian
JIWONXKIM: Salamandrian

JIWONXKIM creates tightly hand-tufted carpets in unconventional shapes, made of natural wool dyed in various colors.

Her first project, Salamandrian, uses wool, a medium commonly associated with warmth, to depict organisms with cold and sleek textures living near water.

Each work of JIWONXKIM is hand-crafted in limited quantites.

HI-MACS® is used by some of the most popular architects and designers including Zaha Hadid, David Chipperfield, Jean Nouvel and more recently by Karim Rashid and Marcel Wanders.
